Boldly Suttle

No stranger to the world of fashion, Lindiwe Suttle has used her latest endeavour to artfully mix elements of both style and music. The result? Her first ever music video for electro-pop song ‘Man Made Moon’. The song appears on Lindiwe’s debut album, Kamikaze Art, which is to be released in April.

Apart from showcasing Lindiwe’s vocal talent, the music video boasts an international production team, having been directed by Roice Nel – the man responsible for many of the videos you see you on GLAMOUR.co.za! The song itself was recorded in Berlin and mastered in New York, while the music video was shot in Cape Town.

Before embarking on her career as a solo artist, Lindiwe worked as a fashion stylist, lending her talents to the likes of Beyoncé and Ciara and working with fashion houses DKNY and Kenneth Cole. It’s no surprise, then, that Lindiwe has incorporated her love of sartorial arts into her music video. For this project, local designers including Suzaan Heyns, Phillipa Green, Lameez Claasen and Lara Klawikowski each created a unique look, adding to the video’s futuristic and proudly South African feel.

Now a Cape Town resident, Lindiwe grew up in America and has been featured in a number of international publications, including Glamour. In 2010, Lindiwe was named GLAMOUR’s Style Icon at the Women of The Year Awards.

Catch what is sure to be an unforgettable performance from Lindiwe at the Cape Town International Jazz festival later in the month. In the meantime, watch the ‘Man Made Moon’ video below!
