Drew Barrymore & Will Kopelman confirm divorce news

Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman have confirmed their split and will be divorcing after three years as husband and wife.

“Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” the pair said in a statement posted by  People. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on. Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority.”

Page Six first broke the news, with a source stating: “They’ve been having some difficulties, but they remain close for the sake of their kids.”

The pair has two daughters Olive, 3, and Frankie, who will turn 2 later this month.

Drew Barrymore hasn’t posted a pic of her soon-to-be-ex on Instagram since last June 2, on their third anniversary, captioned, “Happy anniversary Mr. Kopelman, cheers to you! I love you and I love our daughters !!!!!!!”

The Never Been Kissed star and her art dealer beau tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in California in 2012, with Drew once describing her wedding day as “perfect”, telling a magazine: “Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped.”

The actress has been married twice before. She wed comedian  Tom Green in 1999, before splitting from him in 2001. She also married Jeremy Thomas for a short spell in 1994.
