Jennifer talks about the Brad-breakup aftermath

Jennifer Aniston, the 45-year-old actress who was married to Brad Pitt (51) from 2000 to 2005, insists that they maintain a healthy relationship despite their high-profile split and Brad’s subsequent relationship with Angelina Jolie.

The former Friends star said: “I don’t find it painful. I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.”

In fact, Jennifer revealed that she and Brad still communicate with each other, although she confesses it’s not something they do on a regular basis.

Jennifer – who has been engaged to screenwriter Justin Theroux since 2012 – told CBS: “We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but it’s not a constant thing.”

Her remarks come shortly after Angelina Jolie said being married to Brad is an “extraordinary feeling”.

The 39-year-old star, who tied the knot with the Fury actor last year, said the ceremony was so special because it was shared with their children – Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.

She explained: “As soon as it was all over, we all just changed clothes and hung out. It was just a very happy time. It wasn’t this monumental change – we were just very happy and sure, and it’s quite an extraordinary feeling to be so sure. It gives you peace.”
