Kesha gives an emotional speech about sexual abuse

Kesha gave a heart-felt speech about her recent struggles when she was presented with the Visibility award by Human Rights Campaign over the weekend.

Kesha, who was given the award for speaking out about LGBT bullying, took the moment to reference her ongoing court case against producer Dr. Luke.

In her acceptance speech she said: “As many of you know I am going through some personal things that have been really intense and hard lately and I just want to say thank you for the support I have received.”

Kesha told the crowd: “Don’t be afraid to speak up against any injustice you experience.

“Don’t let people scare and shame you into changing the things about yourself that make you unique,” she went on. “Those are the qualities that will make your life magical and special!”

After the event she took to Instagram to post a photo and to say thank you for her award.

She told her followers: “Thank you @humanrightscampaign for having me tonight and for my visibility award. Tonight was incredibly special to be awarded for something I care so deeply about. I will fight for equal human rights till the day I die. Love always wins!”

You go, girl.
