Fans, friends and family members came together to celebrate hip hop star Jabulani, “HHP”, Tsambo in Newtown, Joburg yesterday. Among the mourners at the memorial service was his wife Lerato Sengadi. Simpiwe Mbokazi African News Agency (ANA)
HHP's customary wife, and one of Mzansi's hottest publicists, Lerato Sengadi is attempting to halt the hip-hop icon's funeral. Sengadi is in a bitter row with her father-in-law who reportedly will not tell her where her husband's body is and is not including her in the funeral arrangements.
According to news outlets, Lerato has filed an interdict against Robert Tsambo, in which she stated the following: "As Jabba's lawful customary wife, it is my right to make the necessary funeral arrangements for his burial and to play an integral part in all of the actions and proceedings in relation thereto."
In the court papers, Sengadi also states that Jabba committed suicide and that he had a drug problem which exacerbated his depression.
The funeral is set to take place on Saturday, November 3 2018.
RIP HHP – Celebs pay tribute to the hip-hop icon
Yesterday (24.10.2018), we sadly just learnt that Hip-Hop heavyweight Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) has passed away.
The Hip Hop superstar, who penned hits like Jabba, Tswaka and Bosso, first broke into the scene in 1997 and has since collaborated with international artists like Amerie.
His wife, Lerato Sengadi, reportedly confirmed her husband’s death this afternoon (24.10.18) but was not clear about the cause of death.
Messages of condolences, from celebrities, have been coming through on social media.

HHP was a pioneer of a culture, through his music, his rhythm, rhymes, poetry and persona he inspired a generation of young people who used him to frame themselves to what they could be if they work as hard.
