Actor Mduduzi Mabaso and wife, Fatima celebrated Valentine’s day in style at the recently opened Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo. They were invited to experience a Valentine’s Getaway that the hotel is offering for the month of February.
Married for 12 years, the couple began as business partners. Fatima says that it is their great communication and the fact that they are each other’s best friend that has helped them to live everyday as if it were Valentine’s Day.
Mduduzi is a renowned actor best known for his roles in Rhythm City and Hotel Rwanda. Fatima is his manager- who to better look after his best interests than his leading lady? The pair work hard to co-ordinate their schedules and love travelling together. They were treated to a weekend of pampering, good food and romance.
“Wow, from arrival at The Radisson OR Tambo we were met with warm smiles and such pleasant staff, even behind the masks everyone was welcoming and friendly”, says Fatima, “our getaway was nothing short of amazing even though we were a few minutes away from home- but they manage to totally create an incredible atmosphere of restoration and fun.”
The hotel is situated outside of the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg on a private estate in Bredell, Kempton Park. Conveniently, it is easily accessible from major highways and is only an 8-minute drive from O.R. Tambo International airport. No getaway is complete without a food feast. The two nights Valentine’s Experience includes a luxurious English Breakfast Buffet which Fatima and Mduduzi chose to enjoy by the pool. For many couples, mealtimes are the main quality time that they spend together. The Mabaso’s advice? “We’ve somehow managed to create our lives around each other- not the other way”, says Fatima.
