Taylor Swift has joked her cat needs to cough up $40 million after she scratched her slim pins following reports she’s planning to insure her legs for the eight-figure sum.
The 25-year-old singer has mocked a report she’s planning to splash out the eight-figure sum on insurance for her slim pins by insisting her pet kitty Meredith will have to cough up the money after she viciously scratched her thigh over the weekend.Alongside a photograph of the gash, Taylor wrote: “Great work Meredith I was just trying to love you and now you owe me 40 million dollars.”The intense cat fight came just two weeks after a report emerged that the ‘Black Space’ hitmaker’s management were trying to push her to take financial cover out on her enviable legs in order to protect her hugely successful career.
A source said at the time: “It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if something was to happen to her legs, Swift wouldn’t be able to give her signature stage performances.
“Her $200 million career would be in big trouble.”
However, the blonde beauty – who kicks off her world tour in May – was believed to be “embarrassed” once she found out how much her legs were actually worth.
The insider added: “She thought her legs were possibly worth a million. But $40 million shocked her. She’s even a little embarrassed about it.”
