Toya Delazy’s latest album Ascension, is now available online for free.
The local pop star says she was becoming increasingly frustrated with issues around the distribution of physical copies of her latest album, Ascension, in music stores around the country. So she decided to do something about it, and released the album to stream online for free.
Toya took to Twitter to lament the lack of availability of Ascension in SA, and took matters into her own hands:
“I woke up frustrated,frustrated from fans desperately asking me where to find the new album.”
“The sad reality is that one has to pay to get some space music stores, Soon we’ll have to pay to breathe …”
“My music is about empowerment, love, desire, believing, dreaming – it ain’t about f*cking money.”
