What Serena Williams said about Kate Middleton is truly great

Tennis champ, doting mother and badass female empowerment advocate; Serena Williams is just an all-round kween.

The tennis ace is all about bigging up her fellow sisters (which we have a hell of a lot of time for).

While we know Serena and Meghan Markle are good pals, with the athlete attending the royal wedding earlier this year, Serena has turned her attention to another member of the royal family.

The latest lady she’s championing? Kate Middleton.

Speaking to  InStyle magazine, the 36-year-old listed her favourite “badass” female muses, namely Beyoncé, Rihanna and… the Duchess of Cambridge.

Her reasoning? Serena thinks Kate made an epic post-birth appearance on the Lindo Wing steps after giving birth to her third child, Prince Louis, back in April.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

“She was… standing! So, she’s officially number one,” said Serena.

Serena has long championed Kate, previously dubbing her “one heck of a woman”.

We couldn’t agree more.

In our humble opinion, Serena is a total badass. As well as being one of the world’s most talented athletes, Serena Williams is an outspoken and unapologetic feminist.
