This Summer may have been all about #HotGirlSummer but Winter in the North is shaping up to be about celebrities soaking up all the sun. Leaving the colder climes behind in December for warmer rays may not be something new, but our Instagram feeds are already filling up fast with larger-than-life yachts, sun-loungers positioned next to shimmering seas and some of the best bikini-inspo out there yet.
Having touched down in Dubai, Maya Jama has embarked on the kind of Christmas getaway some of us can only hope for: a solo trip. Staying at the decadent Burj Al Arab, the TV and radio presenter has been thoroughly enjoying time on her own. Case in point: her Home Alone-style Instagram video featuring Jama sliding down gold-coloured bannisters and jumping on ultra-fluffy beds. Not to mention her multiple trips to the beach in an optic white bikini, for some well-deserved relaxation.

Exhibit two: Rihanna back home in Barbados. The business mogul shared a snap on Instagram standing in front of sky-high blades of green grass in her native land. With wind-swept hair in tow, and an easy-to-slip on delicate cream camisole, the singer looked more relaxed than ever. She may have graced the Fashion Awards 2019 since then, but in recent days sheâs also shared gold-hued shimmering photos of herself in some far-flung exotic location #livingherbestlife.

Is there a better way to spend December than onboard a yacht in the middle of a turquoise-coloured sea? Serena Williams doesnât seem to think so. Taking to Instagram, Williams shared several pics with her sister Venus by her side. She not only showed off her best angles but her newly named mega-long ponytail, too. Bestowed with the moniker âTrixieâ, sheâs made us long for two things: the summer sun and sun-kissed locks.

While our appetite for insights into how the elite spend their winter holidays has become insatiable, supers-in-the-making really know how to catch some rays. Case in point: Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner in Miami and St Barts, respectively. While onboard a yacht off the coast of Miami the pair wore brightly coloured swimwear underneath light knitwear, with Hadid commenting on Instagram: âIs that a dolphin?â
