The Glamour team recently got to enjoy the fruits of the vine at Wildeberg winery situated against the foothills of the Franschoek mountains. This picturesque setting made for a relaxed summer day sampling their MCC and other amazing varietals along with canapes created by their chef to enjoy.
Wine magazine recently crowned this small winery, Winery of the Year 2022. The estates’ Wildeberg White(Semillon) was rated the best in their category with their other wines making the top 10 in their respective categories.
“We are delighted by this fantastic recognition for our winemaking team”, said JD Rossouw, winemaker at Wildeberg, “as well as for all the amazing vineyard partners who make it happen each year. Without their hard work and attention to detail, we would be just another bottle at the table!” JD was appointed winemaker in 2017, harvesting just 50 tons of fruit in that first vintage.
