Weltevrede Estate in Bonnievale

You'll find this estate on the outskirts of Robertson but your wine experience won't be complete without visiting and experiencing the underground wine tasting experience this estate has to offer. Apart from the complimentary General Wine Tasting or cheese and chocolate pairings, the highlight here is definitely the underground wine tasting, which has to be booked prior to your visit. You'll enjoy a guided tour of the cellar as well as a candle-lit tasting accompanied by some amazing stories of the family and property. There's one especially interesting story about Ugandan nuns who became winemakers. But you have to hear it for yourself!

Zandvliet Estate

Ever wondered how wine blends are created? Well at Zandvliet you can enjoy a 45-minute experience of blending your own wine using three of the Zandvliet Cultivars, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Don't worry, you'll have an expert advising and helping you understand and decide what your preferred red blend is. You'll then bottle, cork and seal it with wax yourself. This intimate wine experience will definitely leave you with a greater appreciation for wine. For something less hands-on but equally enjoyable, try the Zandvliet Wine Tasting experience with seven wines to try.
