SEE: Idols SA 2021 features an all-female Top 3

For the first time, Idols SA will have an all-female finale and the competition between Berry, Karabo & S’thuthukile is tight.

Since the new season began in July 2021, Idols SA entertained Mzansi with the 17th season showcasing the best homegrown talents in South Africa. Now, for the first time ever since the first season of the talent search competition aired in 2002, we are looking forward to an all-female finale.

Last night, the Top 3 South African Idols were revealed and included Berenike Trytsman better known as Berry, Karabo Mathe and S’thuthukile Babalwa Langa. Another noteworthy detail about this season's top 3 is that for the first time, two of the top 3 contestants are returnees to the Idols SA stage. Berry and Karabo previously did not make it past the open auditions stage to the live shows.

For last night’s show, each finalist performed 3 songs that blew the judges -Unathi, Randall and guest judge Judith Sephuma - and South Africa away. Take a look at our favourite season 17 moments featuring the Idols SA Top 3 below:

Berry

The 31-year-old artist from Cape Town has proven to be unstoppable. Speaking in her Top 16 Idols SA interview Berry shared that she is determined to prove herself and that she has worked really hard to get this far.

“I hope Mzansi falls in love with my personality. That I am happy, I try to always be smiling and that it makes them happy,” Berry says.

Karabo

22-year-old songstress from Hebron has consistently wowed the crowd and the judges with her talent and has been praised for her versatility as an artist. In her Top 16 Idols SA interview Karabo shared that she loves being on stage and being herself.

“I hope Mzansi falls in love with my voice and personality.”

S’thuthukile

The 21-year-old talented S’thuthukile comes from a musical family based in Pietermaritzburg. Speaking in her Top 16 Idols SA interview S’thuthukile shared that she has proven to herself that she is capable and can do whatever she puts her all into.

This week, Berry, Karabo and S’thuthukile will be in Cape Town recording their first singles with Kalawa Jazmee Records and enjoying a well-deserved shopping spree. We are looking forward to their return to the Idols SA stage next week and to finding out who will be in the Idols SA finale.
