A Beauty Vacay Dreams Are Made Of With Love From Lancôme

It’s not often you’re invited to a beautiful island in Tanzania. This sweet escape is what every girl’s dreams are made of.

Celebrating all things Lancôme

We were privileged to be the only publication in South Africa chosen to go on a trip to Zanzibar for a few days with leading luxury beauty house Lancôme, accompanied by Netflix’s Blood & Water star Khosi Ngema, content creators from Kenya and Nigeria and ThisDay Style. We stayed at the beautiful, tranquil Zuri Zanzibar Resort, where we could fully experience the best of Zanzibar’s scenery. Each day, we engaged in a jam-packed programme tailored to a specific tier in the Lancôme stable and paired with the perfect activity and a quintessential curated dress code to seal the deal. Each pillar was married with brand education, even a reproduction of a crew dance, masterclasses and a brand story.

We started our morning at sunrise with a yoga session to open our core. It was the ideal way to uncover and understand the skin’s microbiome is vital for its health. Our first session unpacked the power of technology Lancôme skincare contains and how it strengthens our skin from within. An avid fan of Advanced Génifique serum, I was pleased with the advanced technology in this serum and what its new eye cream had to offer. A weak skin barrier makes you age faster, whereas a strong one shields the skin from daily stressors. Advanced Génifique serum is the champion of the skin barrier and promises younger, radiant-looking skin in seven days. Power ingredients include hyaluronic acid, vitamin CG, and pre-and probiotic fractions, which improve the skin barrier’s health.

Lancôme dreamed of creating an iconic fragrance to allow the wearer to see life through a prism of happiness. More than a fragrance, La Vie Est Belle is a declaration of the beauty of life. It celebrates its 10th anniversary this month, which is special. Lancôme is the world’s number-one beauty brand, and you can see why from the moment your eye meets this bottle to the entire scent experience, which takes you on a whimsical journey that makes you want to bathe in the scent. What better way to celebrate this fragrance’s milestone than having a divine affair at the beach with pretty-in-pink tones complementing each fragrance in the range. Lancôme created its iconic eau de parfum to inspire women to take steps toward a happier tomorrow, and it now contains sustainably sourced ingredients in a refillable and recyclable bottle. We were ready to take that step towards happiness and understanding life is what you make of it – so make it beautiful!

Embracing La Vie Est Belle Oui Fragrance

The brand prides itself on its extensive range of 45-shade foundations, which also caters to darker skin tones. Shade matching for our foundation and perfect lip shade was the order of the day. The brand introduced us to a groundbreaking, life-proof foundation suitable for each of us that offers 24-hour coverage, is breathable and doesn’t cake, dry or clog pores. We each served as a muse to the brand’s National Makeup Artist and Retail Education Manager David Sharp, who created bold looks with one-of-a-kind makeup advice and tips to ensure we had the best long-wear routine.
