Meet 2016’s GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous

It’s time for one of the most exciting, stylish and starry events of the year: our annual GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous Awards, Thursday 21 April, which honour South African woman who epitomise this magical quality.

Check out the other winners here, then read on to meet the next two glam ladies:

Tony Gum

Artist, thought leader and video blogger What is the most glamorous thing you’ve ever done?

The most glamorous thing I’ve ever done to date was walk in heeled sandals through the snowy streets of New York, in my grandmother’s favourite cape. I had an umbhaco wrapped around my head as a doek – I felt like a queen.

Which celebrity do you think epitomises glamour?

Mariam Makeba epitomises the essence of glamour. She was an iconic woman who embodied class and always wore a welcoming smile.

Tatum Keshwar

Miss SA 2008 and entrepreneur

The most glamorous thing I’ve ever done is partied in Monaco at the top of Hôtel de Paris with royalty in a signature gown initially designed for Celine Dion.

Which celebrity do you think epitomises glamour?

My mind automatically goes back to old Hollywood when subtle, sultry sophistication reigned. In my opinion, the Queens of Glamour from that time are Sophia Loren and Grace Kelly. Modern versions of these timeless women are Aishwarya Rai, Tayla Swift and Natalie Portman.
