The Rhythm City actress was shooting in the urban area of Soweto, located on the border of the city’s mining belt south of Johannesburg. Ntando rocked a number of African-inspired looks and we’re completely obsessed with all of them. She sure knows how to shine!
Our favourite outfit from the shoot was a green plaid poncho, which covered Ntando like dress. Accessorised with a chunky gold choker and a traditional headpiece from Ntozinhle Accessories, the styling was on point. With the help of photographer Vusiwe Mashinini, the shoot perfectly captured Ntando’s spirit – and made traditional wear look super sexy!
Ntando refers to herself as ‘Fleekiswa’ and we now understand why: her makeup was seriously on fleek! Makeup artist Viwe Mhlaba took Ntando’s beauty look to the heavens and back. She was turning heads all over the legendary Vilakazi Street. She even interacted with some of the residents, showing off her moves while dancing with a local traditional dance crew.
At the end of the shoot, Ntando shared the most beautiful words with her followers: “Make a pact with yourself today to not be defined by your past. Sometimes the greatest thing to come out of all your hard work isn’t what you get for it, but what you become for it. Shake things up today! Be You…Be Free…Share”. Great advice Ntando!
