Kate Middleton’s due date has been revealed and now we have another reason to look forward to spring.
Kensington Palace’s short statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April.” Baby number 3 will arrive in between Prince Charlotte’s and Prince George’s birthdays – which are respectively in May and July.
The palace also revealed that the royal couple will be visiting Norway and Sweden in early 2018 – at the request of the United Kingdom’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Looks like 2018 will be a busy year for the Royals.
Recently the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for the first time showing off her growing baby bump – and yes, she was positively glowing.
Along with hubby Prince William, and her brother-in-law Prince Harry, the Duchess attended a reception at Buckingham Palace in honour of World Mental Health Day. For the occasion, Kate chose a Temperley London midi dress, that showed off her tiny bump.
The Duchess has taken six weeks off royal duties after being struck down with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. “The duchess’ condition is improving but she is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. She is delighted to be able to be here tonight” – an aide revealed.
The severe form of morning sickness, made her Kate’s first pregnancies very difficult and have been causing her to miss several events, including Prince George’s first day of school. Bless her.
On 4 September, the Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are giving 3-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte a new baby brother or sister. The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.”
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
Earlier this year, Kate hinted that a third child could be on the way. Responding to a cuddly gift given to her, Kate laughed and boldly stated: “We will just have to have more babies.”
And people are already betting on what Baby No 3 will be called. With Alice and Victoria as early favourites for a girl. And Arthur and Henry for a boy.
Betfair have already released their odds for several potential baby names – including Elizabeth and Diana:

Alice and Victoria -10/1
Elizabeth – 16/1
Phillip – 16/1
Diana – 20/1
