Jim Carrey’s former girlfriend Cathriona White has reportedly committed suicide.
TMZ is claiming the 28-year-old beautician was found dead by LAPD officers on Monday night (28.09.15) at a residence in Los Angeles after two of her friends went to visit her and discovered her body.
Law enforcement officials have told the news outlet they believe she died from a drugs an overdose as pills were found next to her body.
No further information is yet to be released.
The last post on Cathriona’s Twitter account on September 25 read: “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. to yo all (sic)”
Carrey, 53, and Cathriona – who was 24 years his junior – met in 2012 and were in a relationship for a few months before splitting.
They got back together in May 2015 and dated on and off for a few months.
Cathriona was originally from County Tipperary in Ireland but relocated to Los Angeles after studying to be a beautician.
Before dating Cathriona, Carrey was previously married to waitress Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995 and his ‘Dumb and Dumber’ co-star Lauren Holly from 1996 to 1997.
He split from long-term girlfriend Jenny McCarthy in 2010.
