Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s temporary hiatus from social media and apps have revealed little-to-no details – besides that “mother and son are doing well.” Here are all of the details we have right now, from who was by Kim’s side during labor to the big reveal of the baby boy’s name.
The days before Kim delivered were “intense.” According to People , “Kim was having some intense contractions” in the days leading up to her delivery. “But everything went fairly smoothly and she’s so happy to have the baby here,” the source shared.
Kim had a tough time giving birth. Kim revealed on her website a few weeks ago that her baby was breech, and at the time shared that she hoped to avoid having a C-section despite her baby’s position. But the star reportedly suffered a compliacated birth with ‘placenta accreta’, where the placenta remains attached to the womb, again when she gave birth to her son Saint on Saturday
One of Kim’s sisters was reportedly in the delivery room with her. Kourtney, who has three young children of her own (and infamously pulled out her own baby when she delivered Mason), was by Kim’s side throughout her labor, according to sources.
Many Kardashians have been by the hospital to visit the new baby boy. Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have both been to the luxury maternity suite (which is reportedly decorated with blue balloons) at Cedars-Sinai Hospital to visit the family’s newest addition, and a source reports that Kim and Kanye “are receiving a lot of gifts, including baskets and flowers.”
And the name? Well, the middle name at least. Rumour has it that Kim and Kanye have decided on a middle name for their newborn son: Robert, after Kim’s late father.
Twitter has already had it’s say. A few hours after the baby was born, the name Easton West began trending on Twitter – a name that Kim has already revealed she liked.
Finally, his name was revealed. The name of Kim and Kanye‘s baby boy is officially Saint West. The star announced his name alongside a picture of four emojis resembling her growing family, by simply writing: “SAINT WEST”. No word on the inspiration behind the name just yet. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
