The 75th annual Met Gala will be taking place on September 13th 2021, so we are taking a look back at some of our favourite fashion moments over the past few years.
The Met Gala is celebrating the history and the modern vocabulary of American fashion under this years theme, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion. The Costume Institute will be presenting a two-part 2021 exhibit, the first is, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, and the second, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
Earlier this year Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri and Anna Wintour were announced as the honorary chairs of the event. The co-chairs who help host the event are Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman and Naomi Osaka. This year, Vogue is hosting the only official live stream of the event which will begin at 5:30 p.m. EST (23:30 South Africa) on the night of the Met Gala. The stream will be hosted by actor and recording artist Keke Palmer and actor, writer and director Ilana Glazer.
In other news, Rihanna will be hosting the Annual Gala Afterparty. Rih shared the save the date info on her Instagram story and sis, the has FOMO set in.
