Pan-African Fashion: Emerging designer Jermaine Bleu seeks togetherness through their campaign lookbook

Words by Ekow Barnes

Among Ghanaian’s most exciting emerging designers is Jason Jermaine Asiedu, the creative director for the Jermaine Bleu label. As a newcomer to the African fashion industry, he has done well for himself. After his involvement in Lagos Fashion Week and taking part in Milan Fashion Week, during their presentation last year. We could say, Jermaine is one of the emerging designers hailing from Ghana and it's exhilarating to see his growth.

The label is back with their new SS21 campaign amidst the pandemic and the creativity is on the rise. "The collection is of streamlined designs that express who our muse is at their core; effortlessly elegant, chic, and sexy," Jermaine explains. “This season’s pieces were created to make sure our patrons are always the centre of attention in every situation without sacrificing comfort”. Clean, minimal pieces in the brand’s signature crepe and silk fabrications reveal sensual details that make a statement. Echoing the call for togetherness during trying times like this. A custom hand-made batik print featuring the Akan traditional symbol for unity punctuates the collection." The collection jewellery designed was in collaboration with Walle D.
