The South African fashion group converged at the Cape Town International Convention Centre over the weekend, and they all came dressed to impress.
AFI fashion week is now home to streetwear culture that is uplifting African fashion to new heights and engaging a new generation of fashion lovers. Laduma creative director at Maxhosa showcased his collection that was rich in texture with vibrant patterns that paid homage to his roots. Orapeleng Modutle creative director at Style Avenue and Neville Masondo from La Art Neviole Emporium, kept things formal and timeless with a striking line of bridal couture and well-tailored, high-quality pieces for their Autumn/Winter 2019 selections. That mix of old and new continued on the streets, where 80s power suits, tailored pants, leather jackets, faux fur coats and metallics were paired with your everyday street style attire.
