Fashion faves spotted at AFI Cape Town fashion week

In celebration of 15 years, the Africa Fashion International (AFI) Cape Town Fashion Week made its much-anticipated return to the Mother City.

AFI has played a pivotal role in establishing Cape Town as one of the important global fashion cities alongside Paris, New York, London and Johannesburg - and certainly did not disappoint this weekend.

From Thursday 23 March to Saturday 25 March, designers like MasaMara, House of Nala, Imprint ZA, Kat Van Duinen and Taibo Bacar showcased breath taking collections that stunned the crowd.

In attendance were celebrities, influencers, editors, and the who’s-who in the local fashion world. Of course, fashion-forward and attention-grabbing outfits were the order of the day, giving us a fashion showcase both on and off the runway.

Here’s who was spotted at this year’s red carpet and closing show:

Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida dazzled on the red carpet, wearing an exclusive archive garment by Ronald van der Kemp x G-Star RAW. The garment was created in 2020 as part of an upcycling anniversary collection with the famous Dutch designer.
