During London Fashion Week, Valentino Beauty unveiled an immersive houseparty experience to celebrate the launch of Born in Roma Purple Melancholia, transforming a Soho townhouse into a multisensory journey through memory, music and scent.
Co-hosted with Valentino Beauty Brand Ambassador Colman Domingo, the event transformed the essence of past house parties into a distinctly contemporary experience. Layered in shades of purple, the space explored where nostalgia meets self-expression, that defines the Born in Roma Purple Melancholia Donna and Uomo fragrances.
Among the guests were a mix of artists, musicians and cultural tastemakers including LilyAllen, Naomi Scott, Honey Dijon, Celeste, Sebastian Croft and Flowerovlove. Guests moved freely through a series of interconnected rooms, each evoking a familiar chapter of a shared past. The kitchen and living room recalled the warmth of gathering spaces where conversations stretch late into the night. A teenage bedroom, layered with nostalgic details—from lava lamps to posters—captured the private rituals and formative moments of youth, all illuminated under a soft, purple glow.
South African creative powerhouse, Kamo_ww, attended the event, bringing the vibrant energy of Johannesburg’s East Rand to London’s Soho House. As a multifaceted artist,spanning music, acting, and fashion. Kamohelo’s presence perfectly mirrored the "Born in Roma" ethos of unapologetic self-expression. Having recently made waves with their EP'Pose' and her debut on Netflix’s 'Bad Influencer', her flair for blending authenticity with high-end style resonated deeply with Valentino Beauty’s "Who’s Your Purple?" concept. Her attendance underscored the brand’s global reach, connecting the heritage of Roma with the modern, infectious passion of South Africa’s leading tastemakers.

Hidden within the house, a “secret room” offered an olfactive experience dedicated to fragrance discovery, inviting guests to engage more intimately with the fragrances through scent, sensation, and mood.

Born in Roma Purple Melancholia Uomo blends vibrant cardamom with a textured coconut accord, creating an ambery aromatic woody signature.
