The atmosphere was electric as South Africa’s fashion elite, media tastemakers, and industry icons gathered under the "Follow The Glow" creative theme. Inspired by the bioluminescent grace of fireflies, the collection served as a reminder that every woman possesses an inner light. Unlocking 'The Power of She', Malondié’s Spring/Summer 2026 designs made sure that light was impossible to miss.
Hosted by the incomparable Pamela Mtanga, the showcase pivoted away from the traditional runway format into an immersive beauty activation. The philosophy? Healthy, glowing skin is the ultimate "skin stylist." Powered by Pro-Ceramides, the Vaseline Cera-Glow range acted as the invisible thread connecting every look, proving that the best accessory you can wear this spring is a well-nourished barrier.
The front row held its breath as the "Glow Dolls", Lerato Kgamanyane, Naliyani Uma, Bakang Mangoenyane, and Robyn-Leigh Mentor glided down the runway in bespoke looks curated by Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba. Actress Gugu Gumede, fresh from her international acclaim in Netflix’s The Polygamist, made a surprise return to the catwalk. Embodying pure body confidence and grace, her appearance was the definitive highlight of the afternoon.
Between the bold, modern silhouettes and the glazed-skin aesthetic, guests were treated to live sets by DJ Mbali Nkosi and Londie London. The venue was peppered with interactive beauty stations and content spaces where attendees could experience the Cera-Glow science firsthand, ensuring everyone left with a bit of that Malondié magic.
