Tyla adds a second Pretoria show to her A*POP World Tour

The Grammy-winning South African singer has added a second Pretoria date to her forthcoming A*POP World Tour, following demand for tickets to her South African shows. Her previously announced 9 January 2027 performance has also moved from Johannesburg’s Nasrec Outdoor Area to the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, giving fans an indoor venue and a seated option.

The new show will take place on Friday, 8 January 2027, followed by the already announced Saturday, 9 January performance. Both concerts will now take place at SunBet Arena, making it two nights of Tyla in Gauteng.

The venue change comes after promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes reviewed the planned Johannesburg outdoor concert, with possible Highveld thunderstorms and audience requests for seating among the considerations. Existing ticket holders for the 9 January show do not need to start over: their tickets have been transferred to the new venue in the same ticket category, with ticketholders contacted about replacement tickets and refunds.

For Tygers who missed her last Pretoria performance, there is another reason to make the trip. Tyla previously played a sold-out show at SunBet Arena in 2025, and this time she will arrive with a new body of work from her second studio album, APOP. The album has continued her global run, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

And there is plenty to look forward to in the setlist. The APOP* era has given fans tracks including “CHANEL”, “SHE DID IT AGAIN” and “IS IT LOVE?”, adding a new chapter to the catalogue that made her a global name through hits such as “Water”.

The Pretoria shows form part of Tyla's 34-date A*POP World Tour, her first full headline tour. The global run is scheduled to open at Paris's Zénith on 12 October 2026, before travelling through Europe and the UK, followed by a North American leg and the African dates.

For her South African homecoming, the itinerary now includes three shows: Cape Town on 4 January 2027 at Green Point Track, followed by Pretoria on 8 and 9 January.

Tickets for the Pretoria dates are being sold exclusively through Ticketmaster South Africa, with tickets starting at R895, excluding service fees. Seating options are also available, with prices ranging from R895 to R1,695 depending on category.

After a whirlwind rise from South African breakout to two-time Grammy winner and global pop star, Tyla's return home feels like a full-circle moment — only this time, the homecoming comes with a bigger stage, a new album and two nights in Pretoria.
