The Woman King Experience will be held at Ster Kinekor IMAX at the Mall of Africa, hosted by Prejudic•tionary and InColour.Africa Connect with the Womandla Foundation as proceeds beneficiary. This is a socially conscious, exclusive pre-screening event that celebrates real woman kings from various industries in South Africa.
Founder of Prejudic•tionary, Mbali Njomane says: “The beauty of this movie is beyond fiction. And what we would like to do, through the Woman King Experience, is to reveal and celebrate the lived experiences of African woman kings.”
The Woman King Experience gives women, friends and partners an opportunity to be inspired by the highly anticipated movie, and to acknowledge and spotlight accomplished titans in South Africa. It is a celebration of women pioneers, industry leaders, innovators, mentors, creative geniuses and women that generally stand out in their communities.
“Women trailblazers are often lonely on their journey, and climbing to the top is challenging; what if they met like-minded women from their industries, and others all in one room, to mentor one another, share stories and, of course, be inspired by Viola Davis and Thuso Mbedu's portrayal of female warriors in the film The Woman King” added Mbali Njomane.
Attendees can expect an evening of networking, good food and entertainment, alongside the exclusive pre-screening of the film; The Woman King. Not to mention a virtual gift bag to the value of R1500. This gift bag is made up of an assortment of vouchers from woman-owned businesses, including elements such as Woman King themed jewelry pieces, hair care, skincare, and more.
After the screening, all guests will be treated to an extended Networking event at the elegant restaurant and lounge, Kream, at Mall of Africa.
