#TravelTuesday: Welcome To Nature's Version Of The Soft Life!

A night (or maybe a few) in one of Mosaic Lagoon Lodge’s serene suites is Nature’s version of the soft life that’ll leave you rethinking holiday beauty. It’s giving beauty, in the bush darling!

TRAVEL LOVERS

We recently stayed at the tranquil, opulent Mosaic Lagoon Lodge in Stanford. As it’s on the banks of the Hermanus Lagoon, it’s everything your body and mind need to recuperate. Our suite was lagoon-facing with picturesque views, peace and the right level of toasty. The villa doesn’t have a TV, which was perfect, as, without Netflix, we could focus on the sound of nature and activities. There’s something about silence that melts away stress as softly as the sunset.

Speaking of being spoiled, that was the case from when we arrived to our departure. The staff is the friendliest I’ve ever encountered and made every meal with so much love and goodness I didn’t want to leave! Moses and the team took care of our every need and ensured our bellies were full. I love that the menu was unique and satisfying and that you could taste the love they’d poured into it.

Our lovely tour guide Lloyd was always on top of his game and provided incredible knowledge and insight into our activities. There’s so much to do at the lodge that you don’t need to leave during your stay. Since relaxation was our objective, we opted to do only one activity a day (did I mention your rate includes all activities and meals?). We started with a quad-biking adventure,

which I thoroughly enjoyed, then a nature walk in the bush, where we learned more about local biodiversity, fauna and flora. We also drove to the beach for whale watching.

BEAUTY TRAVELS

Choosing self-care products for travelling brings me joy, tried-and-tested or something new. Let’s be honest: life back home can be hectic, and indulging in a hot bubble bath can sound like a dream out of reach. That’s why I don’t compromise on luxury, and because I love massages, I splurged on this much- needed treatment during my stay.

The spa at Mosaic Lagoon Lodge uses Kalahari Lifestyle products, which happens to be one of the brands you’ll find on my beauty shelf – if that wasn’t a sign my massage was meant to be, then I don’t know what was! We opted for the Khoi-Khoi Decadence Neck and Back Massage. The masseuse used heated stones to release muscle stiffness, leaving us feeling relaxed and refreshed and our stress and worries melted away.
