Beauty trends move quickly. The way we discover them, talk about them and decide what’s worth buying moves even faster. At this year’s GLAMOUR Hair & Beauty Masterclass, Mihlali Ndamase will join us as a guest speaker to unpack what’s next, drawing on nearly a decade of experience across beauty, social media and culture.
Known to many as Mihlali N, she has built a career that goes well beyond content creation. A brand strategist, certified makeup artist and CEO of beauty and fashion specialist platform Malakyt, Mihlali has become one of South Africa’s most recognisable voices in beauty and lifestyle.
At this year’s Masterclass, Mihlali will be in conversation with GLAMOUR’s Editor-in-Chief, Nontando Mposo, exploring 2026 hair and beauty trends and the shifts shaping the industry. Together, they’ll look at how beauty is evolving alongside the way we discover, talk about and shop for it.
The conversation will go beyond what’s trending. Guests can expect a discussion about the future of beauty and influence, from the changing role of creators to the impact of social media on beauty culture. Mihlali will also share her perspective on building a personal brand in beauty, as well as the consumer behaviours and purchasing trends influencing the industry.
Mihlali has grown alongside the creator economy, giving her a unique perspective on the changing relationship between beauty, media and influence. She has worked with beauty names including Fenty Beauty, Revlon, NYX Professional Makeup and Johnson & Johnson, while building an audience of more than 450 000 YouTube subscribers through beauty, lifestyle and travel content. She has also appeared on the covers of publications including Cosmopolitan, Hello Joburg, the beauty issue of Ayana Magazine, Moziak, Careers Mag and GLAMOUR.
At the Masterclass, she’ll bring that experience into a conversation about where beauty is headed next, looking at not only the trends gaining momentum, but the people, platforms and changing consumer habits shaping them.
