After many years of recognition as one of South Africa’s leading celebrity, Queen B receives her well-deserved global adulation, proudly validating South Africa’s significance on the international stage.
Matheba told GLAMOUR that the award is a confirmation of the hard work she was putting in and is a perfect way of closing a very busy year for her brand.
“It's such a privilege and an honour. Not only for myself and my brand but also receiving the chance to represent Africa on a global scale. It’s definitely very exciting,” said Matheba.

Queen B beat a host of other well-known African celebrities, who included, Cassper Nyovest, Minnie Dlamini-Jones,(both from South Africa) Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Diamond Platnumz and Wizkid (all from Nigeria).
The E! People's Choice Awards is an American awards show, recognising people in entertainment, voted online by the general public and fans and this is the first time, on a global scale, that E! Is recognising some of Africa’s most iconic and influential talent.
The star-studded awards ceremony will be broadcast live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Monday 11 November 2019 from 04:00 CAT on E! (DStv channel 124) with E! Live from The Red Carpet broadcasting beforehand at 02:00 CAT.
The ceremony will also be repeated throughout the day on Monday at 12:25, 16:15 and 21:30 CAT.
She joins an A-list celebrity winners of the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards including Gwen Stefani, the recipient of the “Fashion Icon Award”, Jennifer Aniston, who will be given “The People’s Icon of 2019” award and P!nk who will receive the “People’s Champion Award”.
