Are ankle bracelets – the Y2K jewellery trend- making a comeback?
Kylie Jenner attended the Chanel SS25 Haute Couture show rocking a jewellery trend that has our seal of approval. Dangling from her ankle was a very cute Chanel ankle bracelet that sat elegantly against her foot and complemented her outfit. It’s important to note, she isn’t the only celebrity endorsing and rocking this trend – and by no means is it a new one. They were all the rage in the early 2000s, with a young Britney and Christina wearing them. Amina Muaddi, designer of her namesake shoe brand, has been rocking this accessory for a very long time. She loves them so much that she sells her own designs on her website, and they are simply luxury, with crystals that have the appearance of diamonds. Superstar Rihanna has also been seen wearing anklets, but quite often wears them stacked. We can’t deny this accessory draws attention to the curves of a woman’s foot, and adds a hint of sexiness. If you haven’t tried it yet, we urge you to go out and shop this trend.
Bangles are Back!
Bangles are back with a bang, one of several exciting accessory trends to make a comeback. Not to be mistaken for a bracelet which is flexible and has a clasp. A bangle has a rigid design with no clasp. Statement thick and chunky examples in bold colours are de rigeur, and stacking your bangles is the way to rock them. As seen on the latest runway shows. Make your wrists the star of your look, and let your avant-retro jewellery do the talking
