While she’s no stranger to serving looks online, Cannes offered something different—a chance to bring those digital moments to life. From beachfront lunches to inspirational panel discussions, Abby brought her signature blend of style and personality to every outfit. We caught up with her to talk style, beauty, must-visit eateries in Cannes, and tips on surviving a jam-packed schedule.
So, what inspires Abby’s style? As a creator constantly surrounded by the ever-evolving buzz of fashion, she draws inspiration from two major sources: New York City, and the thrill of travelling. Her style, in her own words, is feminine, playful, and elegant—three words that defined every look she wore throughout the week. One standout? A polka dot bubble dress from Elexiay, which perfectly captured her aesthetic and turned heads for all the right reasons.
Of course, Cannes isn’t just about the clothes—it’s also about the delectable food and ambience. Abby’s favourite spot to eat was Vilebrequin La Plage Ondine, a breathtaking Mediterranean beachside restaurant where the ambience was just as good as the menu. Between panels, events, and exploring the city, she still found time to take in the fashion around her. “Every day felt like a fashion show,” she says. “I saw some of the most beautiful outfits, as well as hair and glam—it was absolutely fabulous.”
One of the biggest highlights of Abby’s Cannes Lions experience was being invited to speak on the World Woman Foundation panel. “It was such an honour,” she says. “I was proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something I thought was scary.”
As for beauty, the hot weather called for low-maintenance glam. Her go-to makeup look was a light base with a focus on eyes and lips—simple, polished, and totally camera-ready. To keep things organised across a packed schedule of events, Abby turned to a genius hack: laying out all her outfits in Canva and labelling them by event, ensuring nothing—from shoes to accessories—was left behind.
When it came to surviving the week with style and grace, her secret weapon was simple: prioritise sleep. “I don’t function during the day without it,” she admits. And in her bag? The must-haves included lip products, mini powder for touch-ups, and her trusty Canon G7X for snapping gram-worthy content on the go. Her final piece of advice? "Always carry a change of shoes. There’s lots of walking, and nothing ruins your day faster than sore feet!”
