The annual Emmy Awards ceremony served up some major looks on the red carpet. The Emmys has garnered a reputation for having some of the standout looks of the awards seasons.
As much as the nominees and guests waited with baited breath for the winners announcement in the various categories. The same could be said for the rest of us as we waited with great anticipation to see which celebrity guests would be wearing which luxury house's designs. We have to say that we were not disappointed. The red carpet, always a spectacle of glamour and high fashion, truly delivered unforgettable moments this year.
Jenna Ortega, the breakout star of the hit series Wednesday, undoubtedly stole the show. She stunned us all when she walked the red carpet in a breathtaking Givenchy gown from the highly anticipated debut collection of the recently appointed creative director, Sarah Burton. The heavily jewelled bodice and fitted floor length skirt and thigh high split was a masterclass in doing daring correctly. The ensemble simply oozed high fashion and confidence. The hair and makeup added the right touch of edginess creating a cohesive and stylish look that cemented her status as a burgeoning style icon.
Lisa M, a member of the K-Pop sensation Blackpink graced the event in an ethereal looking custom pink gown from Lever Couture. Her custom lotus gown paired with Bvlgari jewels was one of elegance, and a captivating mystique that left a lasting impact. The ethereal quality of the gown, with its flowing silhouette and soft pink hue, presented Lisa M as an otherworldly almost mythical like being. Her look solidified her as a true style icon.
Below are a few more of our favourite looks of the night. Quinta Brunson in Louis Vuitton looked effortlessly chic in her black gown as well as Anna Sawai who consistently stuns us with her sartorial fashion choices.
