This year's Vogue World event celebrated all things film and fashion. There could have been no more fitting backdrop for such an occasion than the iconic Paramount Studios lot in Los Angeles, the very heart of Hollywood, where a multitude of cinematic dreams have been brought to life. The hotly anticipated fashion event brought together the best of film, fashion and celebrity. The looks were a mixture of the most iconic movies from Hollywood history. From the blockbuster action film Wakanda, to the perfectly coordinated, instantly recognizable check suits of the beloved classic Clueless. To the breathtakingly tragic elegance of Atonement starring British actress Keira Knightly unforgettable in the green evening dress. The collection was a journey through cinematic history and a celebration of cinema's enduring magic and a powerful acknowledgment of fashion's indelible mark on the art of moviemaking.
The who's who of Hollywood and fashion were in attendance such as Oscar winner Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Miley Cyrus adorned in YSL who incidentally was seated next to Hailey Bieber to name a few. The event featured an array of stars gracing the makeshift runway. Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman glided down the runway exuding timeless elegance, while Teyana Taylor commanded attention in her battle ready ensemble inspired by the action movie Wakanda. Model Kendall Jenner strutted down the runway in a Moulin Rouge inspired look.
Renowned designers and fashion houses Alaïa, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, McQueen by Seán McGirr, and Valentino were entrusted with the exciting task of creating ambitious looks inspired by the movies. The event was livestreamed and those of us who were not fortunate enough to be in attendance could enjoy the spectacle of Vogue World Hollywood. We look forward to next years’ theme.
