On the 19th of July, Johannesburg came alive with splendour as GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous Awards returned for another dazzling ceremony. Set against the backdrop of the picture-perfect Langhams, the event drew South Africa’s style stars, creatives, and tastemakers for a night of celebration, fashion, and fierce glam. The GLAMOUR team, dressed by YDE, arrived in style, while HYDE in Rosebank partnered as the official accommodation sponsor, offering the team a beautiful and seamless service that added to the experience of the evening.
This year’s theme, gold and pink, was honoured with intention and flair. From dramatic metallics to soft blush tones, guests embraced the brief with imaginative interpretations that brought runway-worthy drama to the carpet. Sequins, feathers, crystals, and sculptural silhouettes caught the light, creating a vibrant display of artistry and individuality that captured the spirit of the night. Hosted by GLAMOUR’s Fashion Director Tania Durand and Digital Creator Thulane “Toolz” Hadebe, the pair’s dynamic synergy brought energy and warmth to the stage, ensuring the audience felt every moment of connection and celebration.
The guest list glittered with Jozi’s A-listers, all serving their fiercest fashion moments. With activations from sponsors like Oriflame, Goldwell, Bernini, Spar, Benefit, and Vaseline, guests were not only entertained but immersed in interactive brand experiences. GLAMOUR’s Editor-in-Chief, Nontando Mposo, opened the evening with a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to the sponsors and to her team for curating such an unforgettable event. The honours for the first award of the evening—Most Stylish Media Personality—were sponsored by HYDE and won by the ever-elegant Thando Thabethe, setting the tone for a night of recognition and inspiration.
Amongst the evening’s celebrated winners were former Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert, actress Sthandiwe Kgoroge, and legendary singer Thandiswa Mazwai. The Reader’s Choice Award, sponsored by Vaseline Cera Glow, went to Naliyani Uma, whose recognition was met with applause and excitement from the crowd. As a token of their recognition, the winners received one of a kind sculptures designed by Emma Jane Halford, who created the sculptures as a tribute to the strength, beauty, and presence of women who lead with grace and own their space
The simple yet elegant table setup created a sense of intimacy and community, with guests enjoying flowing glasses of Bernini, wine, and champagne while sharing laughter, conversation, and quick snaps to capture the magic of the evening.
The atmosphere was electric, with women of courage, empowerment, and impeccable style filling the room. Music by DJ Miss Shelly kept the dance floor alive, spinning record after record, while guests broke into spontaneous dance circles, celebrating in pure joy. In true GLAMOUR style, no one left empty-handed. Each guest went home with a jam-packed goody bag filled with tokens of appreciation from Bernini, Goldwell, Motherkind, J’adore, E-45, Real Techniques, Gynaguard, Benefit, Elizabeth Arden, Buraq Diamonds and many more.
GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous Awards proved once again to be more than just a celebration of fashion and style, it was a night of connection, empowerment, and unforgettable moments that will linger in the hearts of all who attended.
