Goodbye winter layers and hello lightweight and effortless dressing. Many of us have been over the chilly season for a few months, but now that the time has finally arrived, we get to unpack and shop all our must-haves for the season. With this in mind, I’ve curated a list of my personal essentials in fashion, beauty, skincare and accessories to pull together the easiest looks.
FASHION:Investing in pieces that will carry you through multiple seasons is a must. When you’re attending multiple events— especially in warmer weather — it’s essential to have a chic dress that can be worn in a variety of ways and paired with heels, sneakers or sandals is a must. Polka dots are one of the biggest trends for the season, and the strapless dress from Poetry is perfect and can be styled up or down. As a certified denim girl, a new addition to my spring wardrobe is a good pair of wide-leg baggy jeans — especially the Levis Cinch Baggy jeans. What I love are the snaps on the waist to cinch it so you don’t have a gap at the back, especially for those of us who have a slightly larger derriere.
BEAUTY: I have been extremely fortunate to work with amazing brands, one of which is Benefit makeup. They’ve partnered with us on a number of our key events where I got to try some of there amazing products. Safe to say, I am a fan! My latest obsession is the Benefit Hoola Wave Cream Bronzer and the applicator brush for the perfect bronze sun kissed look. Add the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Oil for luscious hydrated lips.
SKINCARE: The older I get, the more I understand that a great skincare routine is a necessity. Hydration is key for me, and the products I invest in helps to keep my skin hydrated and fresh. Laneige moisturiser, and face and eye masks from Skin Republic ensure that I look and feel great.
ACCESSORIES: I simply love accessorising, and the easiest way to elevate your look is a handbag. My investment for the season is a simple yet striking embroidered clutch bag and a classic transitional tote bag that you can take from beach to bar. My choice of shoe is very bold, considering my usual pared-back aesthetic, but a definite wish list item: the red Gala Pump from Mango on Superbalist.
FRAGRANCES: The final touch before walking out the front door is a scent that is uniquely yours. For spring, I gravitate towards a fresh floral fragrance like Versace Bright Crystal. Not only is the packaging really cute with its distinct pink hue, but the way it blends with my natural scent is a win. For a night time fragrance I love a slightly warmer and sexier fragrance that keeps you smelling fresh even when you swelter.
