After nearly a decade together, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially said I do — and, naturally, the internet is paying attention. The couple married in an intimate civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on 11 August 2026, turning years of love, family life and public milestones into something a little more permanent.
The couple confirmed the news by sharing a glimpse of their wedding bands on social media, giving followers a rare look at the low-key celebration. Rather than a sprawling celebrity spectacle, the ceremony was reportedly an intimate affair in the Portuguese coastal town.
For Ronaldo and Rodríguez, the wedding marks another milestone in a relationship that has unfolded very publicly while still keeping some of its most meaningful moments close to home. The pair first met in 2016, when Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. They made their relationship public the following year and have since built a life together that has included their growing family, international travel and plenty of red-carpet appearances.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of her hand wearing an eye-catching diamond ring. Almost exactly a year later, they have made their relationship official.
Family has remained at the heart of their relationship. Ronaldo and Rodríguez share five children: Cristiano Jr., twins Eva and Mateo, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Their family also experienced profound loss in 2022, when their baby son Ángel died shortly after birth.
Rodríguez has also invited audiences into aspects of their family life through her Netflix reality series I Am Georgina, while continuing to build her own career as a model, entrepreneur and fashion personality.
Now, after years of building a family and life together, Ronaldo and Rodríguez have added husband and wife to the list. And if their relationship history is anything to go by, this is one love story that has never been short on big moments
