Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni and media personality and medical doctor Dr Musa Mthombeni are celebrating five years of marriage, and naturally, they marked the milestone in style.
The couple, who tied the knot in August 2021 following their engagement earlier that year, have become one of Mzansi’s most loved celebrity couples, sharing everything from travel adventures to their playful takes on married life with their followers.
For their fifth anniversary, the couple leaned into an effortlessly elegant aesthetic, dressing in coordinated white looks for a series of photographs. Musa opted for a crisp white blazer paired with a black bow tie, while Liesl looked chic in a tailored white suit, wide-brimmed hat and heels. A throwback veil moment added a sweet nod to their wedding day, while the couple’s relaxed poses made it clear that five years in, the romance is still very much alive.
Musa kept his anniversary message characteristically simple, writing: “Feels like day one, to be honest.”
Their anniversary comes after years of publicly celebrating the little milestones in their marriage. From their monthly “monthversaries” to anniversary getaways, the couple have never been shy about documenting their relationship, and their followers have clearly grown attached to watching their love story unfold.
