Shopping Edit: Items on my radar to invest in now

As a mom, I very rarely invest in myself, as my main priority is my kids—ensuring their needs are met always takes precedence. With that said, I understand the importance of also prioritizing myself and my own needs. With this in mind, I've curated a wish list of items for myself this Women's Month.

I'm obsessed with cowboy ankle boots. I find them incredibly cool, chic, and surprisingly versatile as well as comfortable. They can be styled with a suit or a skirt for work, and just as easily with casual attire for more relaxed moments.

A pair of great denims is a must-have for any and all seasons. On my radar are a pair of loose-fit Levi's. Nothing makes me happier than well-fitting denim, and my go-to is a loose, flared-leg silhouette—I find it far more flattering for my curvier shape. The latest Levi's campaign showcases Loose Prep, a standout trend from the Fall/Winter 2026 range. It reimagines iconic preppy pieces in more relaxed shapes and unconventional proportions. I love this laid-back approach to traditional styling—an effortless way of wearing classics that breaks all the old rules.

Sneakers are another shoe obsession, simply because my job demands comfortable footwear on the days I'm prepping for a shoot—and the fact that they're cool is really all the criteria I need. On my radar is the Vans Super Lowpro, which takes its cues from retro running styles. Blending archival design with a modern remix, it delivers understated cool with effortless versatility. High on the cool factor, for sure.

Good accessories are an easy styling trick for elevating a basic outfit, or for looking "put together" while staying comfortable. I adore gold jewellery—I feel it complements my skin tone, so I naturally gravitate towards it. My latest must-haves are rings, and I find investing in a three-pack offers great value for money. Chunky rings are a must this season.

When it comes to what you put in your body, there should be no compromise. Investing in a good multivitamin is non-negotiable for me. As essential as exercise and great clothes are, true health begins from the inside. Sanrae is a local South African brand, designed by a woman for women facing similar challenges.
